Banana Bread Recipe
Today I am going to share a special banana recipe with you, that you can easily make at home using simple homemade ingredients. You can make it both in the oven and in a pan. And that recipe is banana bread. If your kids love bread a lot then this recipe is for you. So let’s make this recipe without delay.
Ingredient
- 5 ripe bananas (overripe preferred)
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 3/4 cup curd (yogurt)
- 1/4 cup oil or melted butter
- 1 tbsp vanilla extract
- 1.5 cups flour (all-purpose)
- 1/2 tbsp baking powder
- 1/2 tbsp baking soda
- 1 tbsp cinnamon powder
- A handful of crushed walnuts
Prepare the batter of banana:
To making banana bread, take 5 ripe banana and if you have overripe bananas then they will give the perfect result. The more ripe banana will be the sweeter it becomes. Now peel the bananas and place them in the mixer grinder.
First, You prepare the wet ingredients. For the wet ingredients first, you will add banana, 3/4 cup sugar, 3/4 cup curd, 1/4 cup oil or melted butter and 1 tbsp of vanilla. Now grind it well. After grinding, your banana batter will be ready
Prepare the dry ingredients:
Now you will have to prepare the dry ingredients. For this,
First of all, sieve 1.5 cups flour thoroughly. It will give a soft texture to the banana bread. Now add 1/2 tbsp of baking powder, 1/2 tbsp of baking soda that will give it the first rise because of the presence of curd and baking powder. And add 1 tbsp of cinnamon powder and a handful of walnuts crushed to it as well. Now mix them all together well. After mixing, your dry ingredients will be ready.
Fold dry and wet ingredients
Once you have prepared the dry and wet ingredients. You will just fold them together. During this, you will notice small bubbles. This only suggest that the batter has started to rise. Mix it and the batter for banana bread is ready.
Keep in mind: Make sure you fold them lightly.
Bake the banana bread:
Once you have prepared the batter then bake the banana’s bread. For this, take a container(square, or circuler shaped) and line it with butter paper because the cake will not stick. Now, pour the all banana batter in the container. Now you can garnish this cake with chopped bananas and some walnuts as per your choice.
Now there are two methods of cooking this first one is using an oven. For that you need to preheat the oven for 10-15 minutes first, on 180 degree celsius and then cook the cake for 55-60 minutes.
Second option
The second option is to cook in a kadhai. for this, take a wide kadhai and add salt and also put a mould. And You should heat this salt on high flame for 10-15 minutes. After that, lower the heat and then put the bread tin on the mould and cover the kadhai. And cook it for around 1 hour. And after this, banana cake will be ready.
Serve it:
Now when it is cooked, take it out and let it cool. Then cut it into thin slices. Now you can serve it to your children and family and enjoy it.This will double your happiness. Because the taste of things made at home is different.

Tips:
- For this, take overripe bananas as they are sweeter.
- Instead of oil, you can also use melted butter.
- Make sure to sieve the flour.
- After the bread is ready, cut it only after it cools down completely.
