Homemade Pasta Recipe
Pastas are always enjoyable and i am going to show you a very interesting pink sauce pasta recipe as the name indicates the pink sauce is a combination of rich tomato sauce and the mildly flavored white sauce . this is very interesting recipe and i am going to show you how to made it using penne pasta so let’s check out the recipe.
Ingredients
- Pasta shells (3 cups of penne pasta)
- Salt
- Tomatoes (8 small)
- Unsalted butter (75 grams)
- Oil (1 tablespoon)
- Garlic (10 cloves, finely chopped)
- Onion (1 large, finely chopped)
- Green capsicum (1 cup, chopped)
- Red capsicum (1 cup, chopped)
- Boiled corn (1 cup)
- Seasoning:
- Salt (1 teaspoon)
- Black pepper (1 teaspoon)
- Red chili flakes (1 teaspoon)
- Italian seasoning (2 teaspoons)
- Maida (all-purpose flour) (2 tablespoons)
- Milk (1 cup, plus extra if needed)
- Tomato puree
- Tomato ketchup (1 tablespoon, optional)
- Paprika powder (1 teaspoon, or red chili powder as a substitute)
- Cheese slices (4 slices)
- Basil leaves (a handful)
Cook the pasta shell
For this recipe, first cook the the pasta shells for which
Boil the pot of water and add the litttle salt then add 3 cups of penne pasta on it. You can can use any pasta of your choice to make this recipe . after that cook the pasta till they are alden taste because when you add them to the sauce you will be contuinuing to cook the pasta so you don’t overcook it now. so when pasta is almost about 90% done strain it and keep it aside .
Blanch the tomatoes
After cooking the pasta shell blanch the tomatoes, for this just make two slits on the bottom of the tomatoes this will help to blanch them faster and skin will comes off easily. boil soome water in a pot and add about eight small tomatoes to the hot water .
Once the tomatoes are blanched remove them from water and peel off the the skin, chop them into pieces and grind them to a nice fine puree.
Saute onion and garlic
Now I have everything I need to make pasta, so firstly take a pan and add about 75 grams of unsalted butter into it. once the butter melts add about one tablespoon of oil and , add about a tablespoon of oil and then add above 10 finely chopped garlic. then saute it for about few second. After This, add one large onion finely chopped and saute it for about 2 minute .
Add green vegitable
After sauting onion and garlic, now add a cup of chopped green capsicum, a cup of chopped red capiscum and add a cup of boiled corn and mix everything together. now cook for about 2 to 3 minutes .
Add seasoning
After cooking for about 2 to 3 minutes, it’s time to add the seasoning. add one teaspoon of salt, 1 teaspoon paper, 1 teaspoon red chili flakes and about 2 teaspoon of italian seasoning and mix everything together.
Add maida
The next step is to make the white sauce, so add 2 tablespoons of maida flour to the vegetables. Mix maida along with vegetables and cook for about a minute, so that it coats the vegetables well. Now add 1 cup of milk and again mix everything together. And wait till you get a nice thick creamy consistency.
Add tomato puree
Now add tomato puree to it and mix it well. after that add 1 tablespoon of tamato ketchup, basically it is optional so if you don’t add tamato ketchup you don’t have to.
Now this time add 1 teaspoon paprika powder and mix it. If you don’t have paprika then you can use normal red chili powder as well.
Add chease and milk
To make the sauce all the more richer and cheesier, add four slices of cheese and mix everything together untill it’s all well blended. if you feel the sauce is too thick you can just dilute it a little bit with some milk .
Add Pasta
Now add the cooked pasta shells and mix everything together till the pasta is nicely coated in sauce . after that add a handful of basil leaves and mix that, We are adding this because it will give a nice flavor to the pasta. now your pasta is ready to be served.
Serve

Tips
- Use only olive oil or refined oil don’t use any thing with a very strong smell of flavour.
- Seasoning is very important beacause it’s going to add a lot of flavor to the pasta . if you don’t have italian seasoning, you can use oregano .
- It is in case the pasta becomes a litttle dry you can always add some warm milk to get that creaminess into the pasta.
