Perfect Chocolate Chip Cookies Without Eggs: Crispy, Chewy, and Unbelievably Delicious!

Hello friends, welcome to my new recipe. Today, I am sharing something sweet with you – Chocolate Chip Cookies. This is an eggless recipe of chocolate chip cookies, so anyone can make it. And for those who eat eggs, too. I will tell you how and when to include eggs in this recipe.

A perfect chocolate chip cookie for me should be slighty thick, with crispy edges, soft & chewy from inside & chunks of melting chocolate that come in each bit & on top as well. I will tell you all the tips to achieve this in this rcipe to get the perfect chocolate chip cookie recipe. So let’s start this recipe without any delay.

Ingredient

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (melted)
  • 1/2 cup castor sugar
  • 1/2 cup light brown sugar
  • 1 egg (optional, for non-eggless version)
  • 2 tbsp water
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 1 tbsp vanilla essence
  • 1-1/3rd cup refined flour
  • 1 tbsp corn starch
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tbsp salt
  • 150 grams dark chocolate
  • Sea salt or flake salt

Make the dough:

First of all, prepare the dough for chocolate chip cookies. For this, take a large bowl and add 1/2 cup melted unsalted butter to it. You can use salted butter.

Keep in mind: Melting the butter is important. Don’t use soft or hard butter.

Now you have to add two different types of sugar in it. First one is castor sugar & second is light brown sugar. This gives a good texture to cookie & the colour doesn’t change much either And cookie turns out very good. You can also use regular brown sugar. It can make the cookie slighty darker. but definitely use brown sugar. It make a lot of different than using regular sugar.

Add 1/2 cup castor sugar & 1/2 cup light brown sugar. Mix the sugar & butter. Don’t mix too much. Just mix enough to bring everything together.

Keep in mind: When you mixed butter and sugar then at this stage You can add eggs and make the dough. So if you consume eggs then add 1 egg here & mix it.

Make a mixture:

Since today’s recipe is eggless cookie, so I have a good replacement for the egg. For this, You’ll make a mixture of water, oil & baking powder. It gives great result & a good cookie.

Keep in mind: Use either 1 egg or this mixture. If making eggless cookie.Let’s make this mixture.

In a separate bowl add 2 tbsp water, 1 tbsp oil & 1 tbsp baking powder & mix it well leaving no lumps of baking powder .Once mixed, add it to the mixture of sugar & melted butter. And add 1 tbsp vanilla essence and now mix everything well together. Now your wet mixtre will be ready.

Add dry ingredients:

Now for dry ingredients take a sieve. Add 1-1/3rd cup refined flour, 1 tbsp corn storch, 1/2 tsp baking soda and 1/2 tbsp salt. Mix all dry ingredients with wet ingredients well.

Keep in mind: Make sure not to beat or incorporate air at any stage in this mixture. Just mix everything to bring them together.

Add chocolate:

When everything is mixed well, add chocolate to it. For this, take a 150 gram dark chocolate and chop it into rough chunks. The chunks give a great texture in the cookie. So you also cut the chocolate into large chunks.Once you have cut the chocolate then add it to the cookie dough. Now mix it again to combine the chocolate with the cookie dough. With this your chocolate dough will be ready.

Shape it into round balls:

Once dough is ready, you have to shape it into round balls. For this, You can use an ice-cream scoop and Fill the dough in it nicely and then press it and take it out with your hands. Now your cookie dough ball is ready.

Or you can also use a spoon, take it out and shape it into round balls with your hands. And make similar balls with the rest of the dough.

Once cookie dough balls are shaped place them on a butter paper on a baking tray. And cover it with a cling wrap & let it set in the fridge for about 1 hour.

Bake cookies:

When your cookie dough balls are ready, place them on a baking tray. You need to grease the baking tray and stick butter paper on it. Then place the cookies keeping a gap in between.

Keep in mind: Keep space so that they don’t stick to one another after spreading.

Once cookies are placed, keep the tray in a 175 degree celsius preheated oven & cook them for 10-12 minutes.

Carefully take the tray out of the oven and these cookies will look with melted chocolate on top. Don’t pick them up at this stage else they will break. They will firm up after cooling for 5-6 minutes & you’ll have perfect cookie texture.

Serve it:

Before serving, you can also add sea salt or flake salt at this stage if you like. Now your chocolate chip cookies are ready, which are molten chocolate from inside and crispy from outside. Without eggs or with eggs, you can make the best cookies at your home. You can drink it by adding it in milk or eat it as it is.

Tips:

  • Don’t overmix it. Keep that it mind.
  • Corn storch is important in dough to add the chewiness when you bite into the cookie, which is added by corn storch.
  • Instead of chocolate chips, add chunks so that some bits are large, some small which gives an intresting texture.
  • Make sure to refrigerate the balls. If you directly bake it, it’ll melt quicker & give flat cookies.
  • If You like thick & chunky cookies then firstly make the cookies dough balls slighty bigger or about 100 grams.
  • If you are baking in 2 batches then leave rest dough in fridge otherwise dough will soften & cookies will spread.
