Hello friends, welcome back to my new recipe. Today I am sharing an Indo-Chinese restaurant-style recipe called Garlic Pepper Chicken . This is a very tasty starter recipe. In this recipe, the chicken is fried and then marinated in a dry sauce that contains lots of garlic and black pepper. It is a bit spicy and pungent, but very tasty to eat. So if you like the taste of black pepper and garlic, you will definitely enjoy this recipe.
This is a beautiful and delicious Indo-Chinese recipe that you can easily make at home.
Ingredient
For Marinating the Chicken:
- 450 grams to 1/2 kg of chicken breast
- Salt to taste
- A pinch of black pepper powder
- 1/2 tbsp vinegar
- 1 tbsp light soy sauce
- 1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
- 1 egg white
- 4 tbsp cornflour
For Frying the Chicken:
- Oil for frying
For the Sauce:
- 1 tbsp oil
- 1 tbsp chopped onions
- 1 tbsp chopped ginger
- 4 tbsp chopped garlic
- 3-4 chopped green chillies
- 1 tbsp chopped capsicum
- 100 ml hot water
- 1 tbsp tomato ketchup
- 1 tbsp red chilli sauce
- 2 tbsp dark soy sauce
- Salt to taste
- 1/2 tbsp freshly crushed black pepper
- 1/2 tbsp vinegar
For Thickening the Sauce:
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- 2 tbsp water
For Garnishing:
- Spring green onion
Garlic Pepper Chicken Recipes
Marinate the chicken:
First, let’s learn how to marinate and cut the chicken. For that,
You have to take about 450 grams to 1/2kg of chicken breast. and now you have to cut it. First cut it lengthwise in thick strips. Once you have to cut strips, you have to turn it around and cuts the cubes.You have to cut medium-sized pieces.Cut all chicken like this.
Once you have cut the chicken, transfer it to a bowl. Now, to marinate chicken, add salt to taste, a pinch of black pepper powder, 1/2 tbsp of vinegar, 1 tbsp of light soy sauce, 1 tbsp of ginger-garlic paste, 1 egg white, and 4 tbsp of cornflour and mix it well. You don’t have to make a batter.
Keep in mind: There should be a little coating so when you fry the chicken, It doesn’t have a thick coating.It should have a l light coating.
Fry the chicken:
Once you marinate the chicken, fry it. For Which,
First you heat the oil in a wok at around 165-170 degree celsius. The flame should be high. Once the oil is heat, you have to drop the chicken in wok. Initially, without stirring, cook it for 1/2 minute on a high flame. After that, stire it lightly and fry it on high flame for 2-3 minutes.The colour of the chicken should not be too brown.And it will cook 90-95% quickly in 2-3 minutes or 4 minutes.
Once You have cooked quickle take it out, strain it and transfer it to a strainer. Fry the remaining chicken in the same way. You’ll get a soft, juicy, succulent chicken.
Make a sauce:
Once you fry the chicken, quickly prepare the sauce and have it ready. For which,
First you, heat a wok. Then add 1 tbsp of oil and heat it.Now, add 1 tbsp of chopped onions, 1tbsp of ginger, 4 tbsp of chopped garlic, and 3-4 chopped green chillies. Now, stire and cook everything on a high flame for 1-2 minutes.The garlic should not to be too brown,It should be lightly cooked. Now, add 1 tbsp of chopped capsicum and stire it well. Now, add 100ml of hot water.Stire it well. Now, add 1 tbsp of tomato ketchup, 1 tbsp of red chilli sauce and 2 tbsp of dark soya sauce.Stire it well and cook it for 1-2 minutes.
Now, add salt to taste, 1/2 tbsp of freshly crushed black pepper and add 1/2 tbsp of vinegar mix it well.
Thicken the sauce:
Now, to thicken the sauce make a slurry in a bowl. Add 1 tbsp of cornstarch and 2 tbsp of water and mix it well. Now, add the slurry slowly and cook it well. And your sauce will thick.
Add Fried chicken:
Once you make a sauce, add fried chicken to it. Add spring green onion and mix it well and toss it.Cook it for 1-2 minutes so that the chicken heats up. Chicken should be cooked and toss it well.Now, your tasty garlic chicken pepper is ready.
Serve:
Once your tasty garlic chicken pepper is ready, Let’s serve it. It looks so delicious to eat. It’s spicy, garlicky, peppery. You will enjoy this recipe. You can serve it with naan or rumali roti. That would be fun too.
