Delicious Homemade Amla Candy: A Nutritious, Sweet Treat to Boost Immunity During Winter Months

Hello friends welcome back to my new recipe. Today I am goin to share with you amla candy, which can be prepares instantly without drying int the sun. Even if children do not eat amla, they will like to eat this candy and the will get all the benifits of the amla. So lets start without any delay.

Ingredient-

  • 300 grams amla (Indian gooseberries)
  • 2-3 cups water (for steaming)
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 tsp ginger-garlic paste
  • 300 grams sugar
  • 1 tbsp corn starch (optional, for thickening)
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp ghee (clarified butter)
  • Powdered sugar (for coating the candies, optional)

Boil tha Amla:

To make this amazing amla candy, First take 300 grams amla and And to boil it, put 2-3 cups of water in a vessel and boil it. After boiling, place a sieve over it and put the amla in this sieve. Now cover it and steam it for 10-12 minutes. When your amla steamed well then turn off the flame and take it out and keep them aside and let them cool down.

Take out Buds:

After cooling down the amla, take out all the buds of Amla and remove the seeds. Take out the buds of all the Amlas in the same manner.

Grind the amla’s buds:

After removing the seeds, add all amla’s buds in mixture jar,1 tsp salt and 2 tsp ginger & garlic’s paste. Now grind it.

Keep in mind: Do not add water while grinding otherwise it will take a lot of time to cook.

Cook the paste:

Now to cook the Amla paste, put the paste in the pan and also add 300 grams sugar. Now mix it well. As the pan gets heated then reduce the flame to medium and cook it while stirring continuously on medium flame until sugar dissolves well and its consistency becomes thick. Now, to make it a ittle more thick, you can add 1 tbsp corn starch and cook it while stirring it.

When the paste thickens properly then add 2 tbsp lemon juice and add 1 tbps ghee. Now mix it well and cook it for 2-3 minutes more.

Set the paste:

Now set the paste take butter paper and put some ghee and spread it all around. Now you will put the mixture(paste) on the butter paper. And spread it evenly and let it cool down a bit.

Cut the candy:

Afetr setting the mixture, You will put bites marks in it. You will cut it into small square pieces. After cutting, pick up a piece and see if it is set properly or not. If not, let it cool down properly.

Coat the pieces in sugar’s powder:

To make it drier and tastier,take pieces one by one and coat them with sugar powder. If you want then you can store the candy without coating with sugar.

Now you amla’s cand ready. You will not facing any problem in making it. You should feed this candy to your children and elders one by one every day in winters, which will increase their immunity power and ability to fight cold.

Tips:

  • Keep in mind that there should not be any spots on them.
  • Do not add water while grinding otherwise it will take a lot of time to cook.
  • Do not boil the amla in water.
  • Take amount of sugar equaly amount of amla.
  • You should cook the Amla for a total of 20 minutes.
  • You can use a rolling pin to spread the mixture evenly.
  • You will cut it into small pieces.
