The special thing about Amla Candy is that sugar is not added separately to it. Amla Candy helps you a lot in fighting cold and cough in winters and it also increases your immunity. So let’s start the recipe without any delay.

Ingredient
- Amla (Indian Gooseberry) – 1/2 kg
- Honey – 300 grams
- Water – 2-3 cups (for steaming)
Steam the amla:
To make amla candy first take 1/2 kg amla. While buying amla, keep in mind that they should be spot less, should be clean, fresh amla and of a bit big in size.
Now to steam the amla take a vessel and pour 2-3 cups of water. And turn on the flame and cook till it boils. After that put a sieve on it and put amla on it. Now cover it and cook on low flame for 10-12 minute. After cooking, Amla will become light in color.
Poked the amla:
After steaming the amla, let them become cool down. The pieces in the amla, that you know, poke the fork twice in every piece. There are 5-6 pieces in one amla poke twice in every pieces.
Make pieces:
After poking the amla, cut it into pieces by pressing it lightly. The pieces will start to open up. Use a knife to separate them and remove the seeds. Now, the pieces will be ready for use.
Pour the honey:
Now put the pices in a container and pour the 300 grams honey on them. Stire them once everyday. You will keep them drowned in honey for 3 days. And You will fry them on fourth day. Now close the container and keep aside.
Seprate the honey juice and amla:
After 3-4 days, they will drowned completely, and filled with honey. And amla will soaked the honey completely. Now you will take them out. Keep the sieve on the bowl and let them squeeze out. The honey and amla juice in the bowl is nutritious. So you can keep it in a jar and drink it anytime.
The amla will squeeze out, to dry them, put them in a tray. Now spread them in the tray, and keep it in sun or under the fan. They will dry up in 3-4 days.
Keep the candy in container:
Amla candy will be dried in 3 to 4 days. Do not dry them much. Dry them so much, so the hands do not get wet. They should look shrinked. Now keep them in a container and eat them for 6 months,they will not get ruined.

Tips:
- While buying amla take a bit big in size.Because when amla are big they have less pulp in them. They become a bit sweet.
- If the Amla changes its colour then it means that your Amla has been steamed properly.
- Poked amla because honey go in easily. They will become sweet.
- You must stir the Amla 1-2 times daily.
- Do not throw away the amla honey juice, you can keep it in a jar and drink it anytime, it is very beneficial for your health.
- To dry the amla in sun covered with a sieve. So no dust comes on them.
