Which is very tasty and delicious to eat.This is a favourite among children and they eat it with great gusto.So today i am going to share with you a shankarpali Recipe, Which is easy to make and you can store it for a month. You will like it very much and at the same time it is a perfect breakfast for Diwali. So let’s start today’s diwali recipe. .

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour (or wheat flour)
  • 1 tsp cardamom powder
  • 4 tbsp hot melted ghee (for initial mixing; additional as needed)
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • ½ cup milk (added slowly for kneading)
  • Oil (for frying)

Mix the flour and ghee:

To make shankarpali recipe, you will take 2 cups of all purpose flour. If you want you can take wheat flour or you can use flour mixed with flour. Now add some ingredients like 1 tsp of cardamom powder and 4 tpsp hot melted ghee. And mix it well.

Keep in mind:Whenever you add hot oil or ghee, do not touch the flour or flour with your hands.

Check the binding:

After the ghee cools down a bit you will mix it with hands. After mixing, you should hold it in your hands and check it. If it is binding then no need oil or ghee. If it is not binding then add back 2 or 3 tsp of oil or ghee. After that mix it well and return it to our hands.

Add sugar and milk and make a dough:

After mixing, you should hold it in your hands and check it. If it is binding then you will add 1 cup of ground sugar and mix it well. Now for knead it with milk add 1/2 cup milk slowly and make adough. Now you will cover it and keep it for 15 minutes. After this, you will knead it again.

Keep in mind: The dough of shankarpali should be hard, you have to keep this in mind.

Roll the dough:

After resting the dough, you will knead it again. Now you will make a big ball of it and press it hand and make a dough. After making the small dough, you will roll it on the rolling board. It will roll very easily. You will roll it thickly and after that you will cut it.

Keep in mind: When you roll it, do not rotate it in the rolling mode, do not lift it, otherwise it will start breaking.

Cut it:

After rolling the dough gradually You can cut it as per your wish . Whatever design of shankarpali you want, then either in kaju katli shape or in square shape or You can give it the shape of moon with the help of a bottle cap. Now you will make shankarpali in the same way.

Fried it:

After cutting the shankarpali you can fry it. So before frying, put a little dough in the oil and check whether the oil is too hot or not. Then you will put the shankarpali in hot oil. Now turn it from four side and fry till its color turns brown.

Keep in mind: Do not fry on on the high flame. And keep mixing it in between.

After frying take it out in a mesh vessel, what happens to it, steam also comes out. Oil also comes out and our shankarpali remain dry. Don’t remove it on any paper or newspaper. Now you will fry all the shankarpali.

Once you fried it, keep it in open air for a while or under a fan, the steam will come out, the oil will also come out and your shankarpali will be more crispy. Now your crispy and tasty shankarpali will be ready. And make this recipe this diwali at your home. You can store it and keep it comfortably for a month. You keep it in a air tight jar.

Tips:

  • If you want you can take wheat flour or you can use flour mixed with flour.
  • Instead of ghee you can also use hot oil.
  • If you want you can also use whole sugar.
  • While rolling it, there is no need to apply oil, ghee nor flour. Because ghee has already been added
  • You can put more shankarpali at a time because they get seprated in the oil.
