Ice Cream Cake
If you love ice cream cake and reliving fond childhood memories, you have gotta try my ice cream cake recipe. Today I am share with you a unique ice cream cake recipe and teach you how to make delicious homemade disshes.
Ingredient
For the Chocolate Cake Layer:
- 150 grams of all-purpose flour
- 1/2 tablespoon kosher salt
- 1 tablespoon baking soda
- 1/2 tablespoon baking powder
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 tablespoon cocoa powder
For the Egg Batter:
- 1/3 cup vegetable oil
- 1/2 cup water (hot or cold)
- 1 egg
- 1/2 cup buttermilk
- 1/4 cup yogurt or sour cream
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
For the Ice Cream Layer:
- 1/2 tube of ice cream (any flavor)
Make one layer:
First off, you will make one layer of chocolate cake. For which,
Take 150 grams of all purpose flour. And add 1/2 tbsp of kosher salt, 1 tbsp of baking soda,1/2 tbsp of baking power, 1 cup of sugar, and to make it dark add 1 tbsp of cocoa powder. Now just stire together cake. And you give this aquick whisk get it all nice and homogenous. After whisking, Set that aside and let dry intgredients.
Make a batter of egg:
While your cocoa powder batter is resting, you can prepare the egg batter. For which,
Take a bowl and add 1/3 cup of vegetable oil, 1/2 cup of water You can use hot water or if you want, 1 egg,1/2 cup of buttermilk, 1/4 cup of yogurt or sour cream and add 1 tbsp ov vanilla to it. Now, whisk everything together until it’s nice and smooth. Your batter is almost ready to go.
Mix dry powder and egg batter:
Once your egg’s batter is ready then pour the wet into the dry cocoa powder.Now you stire this together until it is just combined.
Keep in mind: Keep in mind batter should be think and smooth.
Bake it:
When your egg and cocoa powder batter is ready, then you can bake it.
Take a 8 inch pan with parchment paper and apply baking spray on this pan. Pour all batter into the pan. Now you can bake it in the oven at 350F for 35-38 minutes.
Make 2nd layer:
While your cake is baking you make your 2nd ice cream layer.
Take a damp cloth to wipe the inside the 8 inch pan to clean.Now fit the plastic wrap properly in this pan. Then take 1/2 tube of ice-cream of any flavour and add it in this pan and cover it with the remaining plastic on the side and press it well to set it.
Keep in mind: Keep in mind that when you are using plastic wrap, take more than the size of the pan which you can later use to cover the ice cream.
So it just needs to go into the freezer for a bit and by the time our cake is done and cooled, It’ll be ready too.
Assemble:
Once your baked cake has cooled and the ice cream layer has frozen, it’s time to assemble it all.
To create a middle layer, spread the homemade fudge-sauce evenly over the baked chocolate cake. And you don’t go ultra crazy and add too much because it can set up in the freezer and does get a little bit hard.
On this layer You can spinkle of oreos.You could add any thing you want, or just keep it plain. Now you remove the plastic of the frozen ice-cream and place it on top of the cake. Now you cover it again with plastic and freeze it.
Make a cream’s batter for topping :
While your cake is cooling, prepare the cream batter for this cake. For this, you will put 470 ml cold cream, 1 teaspoon sugar, and 2 teaspoons vanilla in a jar and mix it well. And Now you have silky luscious whipped cream. That you can use to cover a cake.
Decorate the cake:
When your ice-cream cake freezes, you can decorate it. For whih,
You will fill a pipe with cream batter. Now with the help of this pipe, apply the cream on the cake as per your requirement. Then with the help of a knife, spread it smoothly.
And before decorating the cake, you will freeze it again for 20 minutes. After it hardens in the freezer, you can add some more fudge. Now, you can decorate it as you wish.
