Oats Poha Recipe
Friends, when you have something healthy and easy to prepare for breakfast, it makes the morning even better. Today, I am sharing a tasty and tangy oats poha recipe that you can prepare in just 15-20 minutes. It’s very healthy and beneficial for those who want to lose weight. Let’s start this healthy and tasty recipe without any delay.
Ingredient
- 2 tbsp oil
- 1 tbsp mustard seeds
- 1 tbsp cumin seeds
- 4-5 curry leaves
- 2-3 green chilies, chopped
- 1/4 cup onion, chopped
- 1/4 cup carrot, chopped
- 1/4 cup capsicum, chopped
- 1/4 cup French beans, chopped
- 1/4 cup peas
- 1/2 tbsp turmeric powder
- 1/2 cup oats
- Salt to taste
- Water (as needed)
- 1 tsp lemon juice
- Coriander leaves (for garnish)
Apply the tdkaa:
For this recipe, first of all, apply the tdkaa . For which,
First take a pan and add 2 tbsp of oil and heat it. When the oil is hot then add 1 tbsp of musterd seeds, 1 tbsp of cumic and 4-5 leaves. Now cook them for some time. After 15-20 second add choped 2-3 green chilies and roast them well.
Add choped vegetables:
When your Tadka is prepared well then you can add some vegetables to it. For which,
first add 1/4 cup of choped onion and cook it till it becomes soft.Once the onion becomes soft, add 1/4 cup d choped carrot, 1/4 cup od capsicum, 1/4 cup of french beans, 1/4 cup of peas.Now, mix it well. Now cook it on low flame for 2-3 minutes so that all the vegetables become a little soft.
Add Oats:
As soon as all the vegetables become soft then add some spices and oats to it. For which,
first add 1/2 tbsp of turmeric powder And cook it along with all the vegetables so that its rawness goes away.
Now, add 1/2 cup of oats and salt to taste and mix it well. Now sprinkle some water on it so that the oats absorb the water and become soft so that you can eat it easily otherwise it will seem dry to eat and you will not enjoy it. Repeat this process for 2-3 times.
Cook it:
When you mix all vegetables along with oats then cover it and cook for 3-4 minutes. After 4 minutes, remove the lid and stire it. And now you check whether the oats are cooked well or not. If they are not cooked through then sprinkle some more water on it and cook it again on low flame for at least 2 minutes.
Serve it:
When your oats poha is ready, before serving it, add 1 teaspoon lemon juice and coriander leaves and mix it well.Now you can serv it. you can also pack it in a lunchbox for children, as it is very healthy and tasty.. You can serve it with tea in the morning and evening.

Tips:
- You should add chillies only when the flavour of curry leaves is felt in the tempering.
- You can adjust the quantity of vegetables and oats as per your requirement.
- You can use mustard oil or any other oil to cook it.
- While cooking oats, sprinkle water over it 2-3 times so that it becomes soft quickly.
- At the end you can add lemon juice or skip it.

Thank you for your Oats Poha Recipe.I have 1 question – instead if sprinkling water on the oats whilst cooking, would it be ok to first briefly soak the Oats in water before adding to the tadka/vegetables?
Yes you can soak it before but if you sprinkle it along with it then you can make it soft or hard as per your liking.
